unboxing; blu’s bookish bag, april 2018

Twice in one year! This year has really been a ‘treat your self’ kind of year.

Or ‘treat yo’ shelf’, if I’m more accurate.

Okay, shameless plug to my bookmarks shop over.

When I heard the theme for the April Blu’s Bookish Bag, I could not resist. I was already planning to get another bag after January – and am probably getting another one later this year? – and the April theme just caught my attention.

The bag arrived some time last week, and this time, I waited till my daughter was napping to open it and take photos. Can we say ‘lesson learned’?

SPOILERS AHOY!

The theme this time around was Nothing Is True, and what we could expect were heist stories and the like.

One of my favourite TV shows ever is Leverage, so I knew instantly that I was ordering this. And am I glad I did! I’ve already finished the book that came in the bag, and I’m pretty sure it’s dragged me out of my reading slump.

There were four bookish items, plus a hardcover YA novel.

First, we have the Assassin’s Creed inspired lip balm and sugar scrub from Bookish Balms. I never thought I’d be the type of person that gets excited over something like this, but I was super excited when I opened the little package.

I’m counting down to a long weekend so that I can use the scrub already!

Next, we have Six Of Crows inspired wax melts from NerdWicksCandles.

They smell so good, I’m in love! I’ve got to find something to put them in for now. An excuse to finally get myself a mason jar for decorative purposes? Maybe?

There were two items from Blu Bear Bazaar, and I love them both! My collection of things from this store is growing, and I can’t say I regret it.

This Catch Me If You Can memo pad is so gorgeous, I’m a little bit tempted to preserve it instead of use it.

And then we have, finally, a Wizard Of Oz bookmark that I’ve already opened up to use. It’s currently with the rest of the bookmark collection I am amassing, but I know I’m going to be taking it out to use again soon.

The book, finally, was Amanda Foody’s Ace Of Shades, which I have already read and reviewed, and am eagerly waiting for the sequel. It definitely fit the theme, and I cannot wait for the book club to start because this time around I’ll be able to participate!

Has anybody else ordered this bag? What has been your most favourite recent box to have received?

This is such a lovely box! You must be so happy with all that you got in the box. I love the looks of that wizarding bookmark and the candle as well. I love scented candles so much <3

It was such a great box, honestly. I just have to keep the wax melts out of reach of my daughter because I’m worried she’ll try to eat them. Haha!
