recipe; easiest nutella brownies

recipe

My sister and I found this recipe years ago, when our brother came home from a trip and at 10 something at night, asks us to make him something with Nutella. Nutella sandwiches were not allowed.

So we browsed the ‘Net and stumbled across this recipe. It was easy, it was quick, and best of all? We had all the ingredients on hand so we didn’t need to go hunting for them!

As always, we don’t use eggs in anything, so we substituted it out, and the three ingredient brownies became a four ingredient brownies, and it tastes lovely and fudgey and honestly, now I want to make a batch.

Easiest Nutella Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Nutella
  • 1/2 cup carnation milk
  • 2 tsps custard powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius (or thereabouts depending on your own oven) and either grease a baking pan or line it with baking paper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl with a wooden spoon (or not, I’m lazy and tend to use an electric mixer) until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until your toothpick inserted comes out clean. Be careful not to bake for too long or the brownies will dry out.
  5. Let the brownies cool and set before cutting.
  6. Hoard it to yourself, don’t serve it!
  7. If someone wants some, direct them to the recipe and tell them to make it for themselves.

At one point I made these so often my friends would feel odd if I ever offered them something else. I haven’t made them in a while though, so maybe I ought to change that…
