Yearly Wrap Up

2018; it’s a wrap

2018 wrap up

This year has been A Lot on the personal front in a lot of ways, but it is the end of 2018 and I am excited for what 2019 will bring. I’ve managed to succeed at certain goals I kept for myself this year, and I’ll be making another post on what I hope 2019 will bring and what I hope to achieve in 2019.

So let’s make a list of things I had set out for myself this year, and how I did on them.

My Goodreads reading challenge was a low 10 because I figured it was attainable after having to lower it over and over last year. And yup, managed to hit it. I’m currently reading book number 13, but that won’t be finished until after the New Year, so we’ll take it as a 2019 read. I also read a lot of fanfiction this year, as per usual.

I had certain aims for the blog as well – posting once a week, at least, and I managed that too! For the most part, I managed a decent schedule that I am hoping to maintain for next year. I also started a new feature, or rather, two features that I alternate between: TWISTED TALES and RACEBENT ROMCOMS.

The Open Pages Box was also opened this year. It’s a small little shop that I’ve fallen behind on updating and advertising, so I want to do a little better with this next year. I might have bitten off more than I could chew on this front, so I’ll be rebranding and changing things up next year, and hopefully, I’ll see a little bit better feedback for the shop.

On the personal front, I kept to my resolution for trying a new recipe every month, and honestly, I’ve found I really enjoy cooking. I also bought a wooden board for food photos, because that’s a thing I apparently do now.

My daughter also turned one in March, and we had a party, and she’s grown so much since! I still can’t believe she’s only a few months shy from 2. We’ve already started planning that party, and this one she’ll actually understand and hopefully enjoy.

Hope everyone else’s 2018 has been fruitful, and here’s to a great 2019! Happy New Year!
