SPOTLIGHT; 2019 Book Blog Discussion Challenge

We interrupt our regular schedule to bring you this post.

A second reading challenge this year? Who even am I?

But then again, this challenge is another year long challenge with targets I could possibly reach, so, here I am. Signing up for another thing. Hoping I do not buckle under the weight of my own expectations.*

*I have also very loosely signed up for Olivia @ Olivia’s Catastrophe’s readathon, and I might not stick to her dates because I’m busy those weeks, but I’m going to try and read books in those prompts over the course of the year. Again, I ask, who am I? WHAT AM I DOING?

What is the 2019 Book Blog Discussion Challenge, you may ask?

It’s a challenge I just found out about (thanks, Shealea) hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction and Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight that encourages bloggers to post more discussion posts. The posts have to be about books, or reading, or blogging, or the adjacent to these, and I thought, hey, this seems do-able? I post about three of these sorts of posts a month, right?

Right?

Anyway, this has TARGET LEVELS again, so I can totally manage at least a Discussion Dabbler, which is the lowest target on the list. If I write more, that’s great. If not, at least I participated?

And I’m looking forward to the community that seems to come with it? I’ll be tweeting with the given hashtag #LetsDiscuss2019 probably mostly when attempting to write the posts, so look out for that yelling into the void.

This post will also be used to track my progress for the challenge, with links to the discussion posts.

I’m Ara, a Southeast Asian writer who someday hopes to have published a novel, and who is currently losing herself in the worlds created by others. I love books and food and television and blogging and I get distracted and sidetracked easily.
